Dr. Lynch and the Princeton Rejuvenation Institute provide a range of esthetic services appropriate for men and women of all ages.
Botox® Cosmetic (onabotulinumtoxinA) is an injected medicine that is used to limit the appearance of lines and wrinkles. It is one of the top-rated facial cosmetic, non-surgical treatments around the world and is an extremely useful procedure to help combat the visual aging process. It is usually injected in the "glabellar lines" (the lines that appear in between your eyebrows as the number "11" when you frown) to make those lines look smoother. It is also useful in subduing the appearance of crow's feet around the eyes.

It is also useful in subduing the appearance of crow’s feet around the eyes.

How Botox® works is simple—the medicine blocks the nerve impulses in the injected muscles, making them less likely to react when you frown. It is a temporary solution, and can usually be applied to anyone between the ages of 18 and 65. Some users have reported visible results for up to four months, but everyone is different.

Unlike a surgery, there is no recovery time and the effects are immediate. There is very little pain, and in rare cases where pain is an issue, Dr. Lynch may apply an ice pack or anesthetic cream to dull any pain that does occur. The actual procedure only takes about 10 minutes or so, so you will be in and out of the office in no time at all.

The main key to achieving proper Botox injection results is to choose an expert Botox injector. Dr. Lynch works with each patient to customize an approach that naturally suits their face, carefully assessing patient facial muscles in order to achieve the desired results. There are a number of newer products that incorporate botulinum toxin. Each product is a little different, particularly with respect to dosage units, so they aren't interchangeable.

As with any procedure, Dr. Lynch will discuss with you the effects of Botox® Cosmetic, what it will do for you and any drawbacks that may occur. It is very important to note that if you experience any side effects, like dry mouth, pain at the injection site, headache, neck pain, eye problems (doubled vision, etc.) and allergic reactions, to go to your doctor immediately. If you are having uncomfortable symptoms of any kind that you suspect may be related to the Botox® treatment, seek medical help.

Many millions of Botox® Cosmetic procedures have been completed in the U.S. alone, since 2002. Botox® Cosmetic is a definite way to reduce the wrinkles in between your eyes, allowing you to look well rested, happy and healthy at any age.
