Radiesse® Injectable Filler

Cosmetic:
Radiesse® volumizing filler is an injectable filler used to restore volume to the mid and lower face. “Plumping” up the skin in this manner results in a reduction of wrinkles. As a woman gets older, the collagen (a protein) that helps makes your skin elastic and firm progressively breaks down. This breakdown is the underlying cause of lines in the skin and wrinkles and is part of the normal aging process.

Radiesse® is injected under the skin to fill up the wrinkles and lines in your face and create a more youthful look.

It is comprised of Calcium Hydroxylapatite (CaHA) “microspheres” suspended in an aqueous gel carrier. Once injected, it provides immediate volume and correction but continues to work by stimulating the body to produce its own natural collagen. Over time, the gel is absorbed and the body metabolizes the CaHA microspheres leaving behind only your own natural collagen.

No filler is permanent. Radiesse® has been demonstrated to last more than a year with many patients.

The Radiesse® filler is commonly used to enhance the look of cheeks. It is also often a good option for the temple area, nasolabial folds, corners of the mouth, chin, and the back of your hands. Although your body will eventually absorb the Radiesse®, the collagen that your body has been stimulated to produce will be retained.

Not every “wrinkle filler” is right for every wrinkle. It is important to have your treatment conducted by an experienced and board certified physician such as Dr. Lynch.

If you are interested in a Radiesse® volumizing filler procedure, Dr. Matthew Lynch is available for consultation to discuss the benefits and suitability. Radiesse® has been clinically proven to provide lasting results – up to a year or more – in removing the look of wrinkles and lines for many patients.

If Radiesse® is right for you, the entire procedure of injecting the Radiesse® volumizing filler can be completed in very little time…, typically 15-20 minutes.

There is normally little to no recovery time afterward, although you may have some redness, itching or swelling at the injection site. Swelling may take a few days to subside, so you may choose to take some downtime. Any post procedure pain will be addressed by Dr. Lynch and his team.

Because the Radiesse® naturally stimulates your body to create its own collagen, the effects can last up to a year or more. Results can be seen immediately following the procedure. Radiesse® can be implemented in the chin wrinkles, pre-jowl (area on either side of your chin), corners of the mouth, marionette lines (the lines that run down from your mouth), smile lines and cheek. It can also be a solution to wrinkled hands, and be injected into the back of the hand.

Dr. Lynch and the Princeton Rejuvenation Institute provide a range of esthetic services appropriate for men and women of all ages.
